Alvin E. Robinow, 71, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Saturday, December 25, 1999, at Menorah Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 27, at Temple Beth Torah, 6100 W. 127th St.; burial at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, family suggests contributions to Congregation Beth Torah.

Mr. Robinow had worked for the Sioux City, IA, Housing Inspection Department for 10 years before retiring in 1995. Previously, he was a hardware buyer for Knapp & Spencer Hardware Wholesalers. Prior to this, he had owned and operated the Coast to Coast Store in Sioux City, IA, for 21 years. Mr. Robinow was a member of Congregation Beth Torah and B'nai Brith, and the Jewish War Veterans. While living in Sioux City, he was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom, Sioux City Camera Club, Morningside Commercial Club and the Sioux City Masonic Lodge. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, in 1952 with a B.S. in the School of Forestry. Mr. Robinow was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Robinow was bornin Souix City, IA, and came to Kansas City in 1998. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rowena M. Robinow, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Robinow and Robert Chiang, Ithaca, NY, Amy Robinow and Scott B. Franklin, Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Molly and James Chiang and Robyn Haley Yali Franklin.
